Law enforcement officers try to resolve a situation peacefully at the corner of Court and Union Streets in Athens, Ohio on October 1, 2004. The situation involved a shirtless and shoeless middleaged man who was lying in the road and yelling at pedestrians. Ultimately, the man was handcuffed after a brief struggle and taken to the hospital via ambulance. Copyright Pete Kiehart 2004
